    WEEK 7: TECHNOLOGY AND CRIME
    • GLOBALIZATION - International access to commit crime at a distance utilizing the internet
    • IMPACT - The impact is tremendous for the business sector, personal sector (i.e., identity theft, bank fraud, etc.)
    • HUMAN SMUGGLING - Illegal smuggling of humans in the commission of identity theft
    • HUMAN TRAFFICKING - Facebook has a messenger feature which allows frequent up to the minute conversations and immediate long-distant connections with massive and unlimited possibilities for human traffickers to exchange children, kidnap children by online stalking, and commit hate crimes in the commission of another federal violation.
    • PEDOPHILIA TRAFFICKING AND IDENTITY THEFT - I am an eye-witness to baby trafficking via Facebook
      • From Central America to Los Angeles borders - Baby trade is one of the most fashionable crimes that Los Angeles prides themselves on for a high level of social status.

I agree Professor that although the idea of reentry is a great one, depending on the level of monitoring required for prisoners released back into society the vast options aren't necessarily considered as an actual downfall or 'relapse' for those who are in need of positive and frequent reinforcement. Just house arrest with complete freedom doesn't protect the offender from offending and re-entering the prison system shortly thereafter before completing the initial community-centered program first.
