    • Staff injuries is a negative of working in corrections
    • Abrupt relocation to facilities with different organizational charts 
    • Unbalanced multiculturalism staff to inmate ratio which cause prison riots
    PROFESSIONALLY REPAIRING THE QUALITY OF LIFE TO INMATES IS FULFILLING

    • The Bureau of Prisons offers special offenders drug treatment programs
      • According to the BOP (2017) there were over 18,000 residential drug treatment programs, however the amount of residential drug treatment programs have been greatly reduced due to budget cuts and lack of staff to direct the programs in all locations nationwide (BOP, 2017).
        • By offering drug education utilizing over 20,000 designated drug education programs for reentry the reduction of drug addiction relapse and criminality has greatly reduced, resulting in a positive success for offenders (BOP, 2017). 
          • Over 12,000 community treatment programs are successfully entered and utilized to house, supervise, correct, monitor, and make great again those special populations from prison whom need a clean slate (BOP, 2017).

    With the tradition of "correctional excellence, respect and integrity" as the Bureau of Prisons display on the website its seemingly inviting to administrate housing for those offenders at home away from home, and whether justice is served or felt to be lacking in many cases of mistaken identity, special conditions, newly recruited staff members or those who proudly admit to beging in a state of guilt, the overall purpose to correct one's mistakes or in unjustifiable cases learn from the experience that may become a blessing later on in life (BOP, 2017).

I agree Professor that although the idea of reentry is a great one, depending on the level of monitoring required for prisoners released back into society the vast options aren't necessarily considered as an actual downfall or 'relapse' for those who are in need of positive and frequent reinforcement. Just house arrest with complete freedom doesn't protect the offender from offending and re-entering the prison system shortly thereafter before completing the initial community-centered program first.
